Article 1.1. \u2013 Regulations.<\/p>

The Gran Fondo Internacional Val\u00e8ncia is a recreational cycling event covered by the \u201cCycling for All Regulations\u201d of the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation (RFEC) and governed by Article 9 thereof, which defines this sport as physical exercise for recreational, tourist, or cultural purposes, excluding competition. The event will be governed by the instructions of the General Directorate of Traffic in effect at the time. For matters not covered in these Regulations, the current regulations of the RFEC shall apply. <\/p>

The cycling event will take place with the roads closed to non-participants, who may use the lanes within the area marked by law enforcement officers carrying red and green flags, and must not cross into the opposite lane. Sections of the road open to regular traffic will remain open to general traffic. At all times, participants must follow the orders of the Civil Guard Traffic Unit officers. <\/p>

Article 1.2. <\/strong>– Route and Schedule.<\/p>

The Gran Fondo Internacional Val\u00e8ncia will take place on May 2, 2026, with a 177-km route, though participants have the option to shorten the distance to 148 km.<\/p>

The start and finish will be at Hangar 2 at the Marina de Val\u00e8ncia (Port of Valencia), next to the EDEM Building.<\/p>

The start and finish times will be recorded 2.5 km from the starting line (at Fuente Encarroz Street); this section at the start will be a neutralized zone. At the finish, these 2.5 km back to Tinglado 2 will take place on open roads, with all traffic rules in effect.<\/p>

To be included in the results and receive the \u201cfinisher\u2019s medal,\u201d all participants must, upon reaching the \u201ccut-off point,\u201d continue \u201cOUTSIDE THE RACE COURSE, IN OPEN TRAFFIC, and IN FULL COMPLIANCE WITH ALL TRAFFIC REGULATIONS\u201d until La Marina (Tinglado 2).<\/p>

Participation is open to any cyclist who is at least 18 years old on the day of the race. In exceptional cases, minors (between the ages of 15 and 17 on the day of the race) may participate provided they submit a signed authorization form from a parent or legal guardian (using the provided template), accompanied by a photocopy of the ID of the person who signed the authorization. <\/p>
